2027 Toyota Corolla
Corolla is the smaller Toyota sedan play: lower mass, lower complexity, and — with the hybrid — mpg that challenges larger cars. Trade-off versus Camry is cabin size; versus Civic is brand/network preference more than a night-and-day packaging gap.
What's confirmed (EPA 2027)
From EPA's 2027 Toyota listings:
- Corolla gas (AV-S10 2.0L): 33 mpg combined (29/38)
- Corolla gas (1-mode AV 2.0L): 35 mpg combined (31/41)
- Corolla gas (3-mode AV 2.0L): 33 mpg combined (30/38)
- Corolla Hybrid Normal/Eco: 50 mpg combined (53/46)
- Corolla Hybrid Sport/Normal/Eco: 47 mpg combined (50/43)
- Corolla Hybrid AWD Normal/Eco: 48 mpg combined (51/44)
- Corolla Hybrid AWD Sport/Normal/Eco: 44 mpg combined (47/41)
Practical notes
Hybrid FWD Normal/Eco is the efficiency flagship in that set. AWD hybrid costs a few mpg for weather confidence. Gas trims remain the lower-sticker path if mpg is secondary.
